LEADING Australian real estate company Professionals Group Australia has now raised more than $4 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Professionals Group Australia chairman Cameron Wilson said the company, which is among the top five real estate networks in the nation, had raised the money in a variety of different ways.

Mr Wilson said breast cancer was a terrible disease which affected far too many Australian families.

“Almost everybody in Australia knows somebody or knows or somebody whose life has been touched by breast cancer,’’ he said.

“There is nothing more important in this world than the health and wellbeing of the people around you and we a proud to support NBCF to help make Australia a happier and healthier place.”

Professionals Group Australia are Diamond Partners for the NBCF, meaning the group is one of the charity’s most valued supporters.

“As part of our commitment to help fund research, every one of our Australian offices donated a portion of their commission from each property sale towards the Breast Cancer Foundation,’’ said Mr Wilson.

“Our members also held a wide range of charity events throughout the year ranging from morning teas through to social outings, sporting events and auctions.

“To get our fund-raising total up over the $4 million mark has been an amazing achievement.”

NBCF CEO Associate Professor Cleola Anderiesz said Professionals Group Australia had been a valuable partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for 17 years.

“In that time, they have raised $4 million through donations raised from selling houses and community fundraising across Australia,” Professor Anderiesz said

“This huge level of support means we can fund world-class research that will help detect tumours earlier, improve treatment outcomes and ultimately – save lives.

“The loyalty from this partnership is a testament to both parties and their commitment to reaching Zero Deaths from breast cancer.”
